What is The LiteTouch?

The LiteTouch uses the latest in laser technology to sense distance, in conjunction with an AI linked camera providing comprehensive scene descriptions audibly. Identifying features up to 20 metres away LiteTouch helps you make sense of open areas, obstacles, and objects before you reach them, revealing doorways, paths, and everyday features that might otherwise be missed. It’s your small companion designed to reinforce confidence and enrich your situational awareness.

About the size of a slim TV remote and weighing less than a smartphone the LiteTouch fits naturally in your hand. On the front, a smooth surface contains the laser sensor and camera. A gently moving tactile pad sits side-mounted exactly where the forefinger rests, naturally enabling you to 'point' in a direction of interest. The pad moves forward and backward by up to five millimetres to represent distance and object shape. Pressing the pad increases sensitivity and detail, effectively zooming in.

On the top a small ridged thumbwheel turns with soft clicks by the user. Each click adjusts the sensing range by one metre, helping you understand how far away an object is and to focus the feedback to specific distances.

The body has a matte, non‑slip finish complete with rounded edges. It also comes equipped with a wrist strap to reduce the risk of accidental drops. Durable, discreet, and pocket‑friendly the LiteTouch's modern design is suitable for everyday life.

How It Feels to Use
Point LiteTouch where you want to explore. As you move it, the touchpad's mechanism pushes against your finger, providing physical feedback to “feel” the shape of objects, find openings, and navigate obstacles. The zoom and focus features provide control and context.
When connected to a phone, it can also efficiently describe text, people, or scenes using audio feedback captured by a 5 megapixel camera and interpreted by the latest AI models. These camera‑based description features require an active subscription.
