LiteTouch Connect provides intuitive tactile spatial awareness at a distance, giving blind and visually impaired users a clear sense of their surroundings long before they make contact.
It is a discreet, pocket‑sized distance‑sensing device designed to make the world easier to explore. Using millimetre‑accurate passive laser technology, it reveals the shape, location, and distance of objects up to 20 metres away—long before they reach your cane or your path.
On its side, where your index finger naturally rests, there is a gently moving pad that shifts forward or backward by a few millimetres. This motion represents how close or far the object in front of you is. Pressing on this pad lets you zoom in for greater detail.
On the top, under your thumb, there is a small ridged wheel that clicks as you turn it. Each click adjusts the distance range the device scans by 1m, allowing precise control.
The front houses the distance sensor and a compact camera, though you won’t need to touch these parts to operate the device.
How It Feels to Use
Point LiteTouch Connect where you want to explore. As you sweep it across an area, the tactile pad gives you physical feedback, letting you feel shapes, openings, edges, and obstacles. The zoom and focus features give you control and context, adapting to different environments.
The latest version includes built‑in 4G connectivity, allowing LiteTouch Connect to operate completely independently—no phone required. When subscribed to the AI service, it can describe text, people, or scenes using its 5‑megapixel camera and cloud‑based models.
All camera‑powered AI features require an active subscription.
